“Tim Baty’s return to UAMS North Central is something we’re incredibly excited about,” said Jordan Weaver, M.D., UAMS North Central Regional Campus medical director and residency director. “As the first graduate of our program to join us as faculty, he represents exactly the kind of homegrown talent we hope to keep in Arkansas — and his patients are thrilled to have him back as their doctor.” [...] Baty has earned recognition for his contributions to family medicine and rural health throughout his career. He was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians in 2024. In medical school, he won Arkansas’ Community Star award and the Stanley Schiowitz Award for Excellence in Osteopathic Medicine.

Baty also will help train future family physicians as an assistant professor with the UAMS North Central Family Medicine Residency Program. [...] Most recently, Baty served as a physician with Wynne Medical Clinic, a hospitalist at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne, and medical director for Gentiva Hospice in Forrest City. His clinical experience includes primary care, inpatient medicine, hospice care, and emergency medicine.
