The Illinois Gaming Board has approved a proposed rule that would add video gaming to its voluntary Self-Exclusion Program, covering the state's roughly 50,000 video gaming terminals through identity checks at redemption terminals.

The Self-Exclusion Program currently lets people with gambling disorders voluntarily bar themselves from casinos, sports wagering and fantasy contests, but not from video gaming terminals.
